The E31A Visa is intended for foreign nationals who are legally married to an Indonesian citizen and wish to live together in Indonesia. This visa provides a convenient long-term stay solution for spouses who want to build their life, support their family, and enjoy living in Indonesia while staying connected with their loved ones.
With this visa, holders can stay in Indonesia for up to 1 year or up to 2 years, with extendable stay permits available. The visa also allows multiple entries, enabling travelers to enter and leave Indonesia freely during the validity period.
In addition to family-related activities, visa holders may conduct tourism activities, visit friends or relatives, and carry out employment-related or educational activities as long as they are properly reported to Immigration through the applicable procedures.
The E31A Visa is designed to make family reunification easier while ensuring compliance with Indonesian immigration regulations, local laws, customs, and cultural values.

Visa Validity
This visa must be used within 90 days from the date of issue.
Please note that the visa validity period is different from the period of stay, kindly check your visa for the period of stay Information.
Other information
If you meet the conditions, you will automatically obtain the Electronic Limited Stay Permit (e-ITAS) and the Re-Entry Permit upon arrival at the Immigration Checkpoint (you do not need to go to the immigration office to obtain a Limited Stay Permit and Re-Entry Permit).
Staying in Indonesia over the period of your stay permit, engaging in prohibited activities, not complying with visa conditions, and/or not complying with Indonesian laws may result in you paying fines, being deported, and/or other legal charges.
In addition to the electronic limited stay permit, the limited stay permit also has a physical card available at the immigration office.
You are prohibited from selling goods or services.
You are prohibited from working by receiving compensation, wages, or any similar from individuals or companies in Indonesia, unless reported to immigration (using the multiple activity reporting process).
